My wife and I arrived home from holiday to find our old plastic heating oil-tank had split - there was a considerable spill and smell.

A quick ‘phone call to Northover and the same afternoon they came round to pump out the split tank, into temporary storage, to well below the level of the leak. Situation contained!

Northover provided two quotations. We chose the one with the more comprehensive work plan - replacing the tank with a double skin equivalent including taking out the old base, cleaning up contaminated ground and building a new, concrete base. The work included removing old coal bunkers to make room for the new, larger base and tank. The quotations were simple and clear, with options where appropriate.

Northover scheduled the work. At one point there was some doubt as to meeting the start date as they had not received the new tank as promised. In the event they did manage to source a new tank and could start as originally planned. We were told the work might take up to a week, but they cracked on and managed the entire job in less than two days.

All the contamination is gone, the new tank is installed on a neat new base with tidy pipe-work and all is working fine. The entire area next to the tank is pristine and restored to a usable state.

My wife and I are delighted with the speedy and thoroughly professional way Northover have managed the entire business. Everyone from Northover was a pleasure to work with and willing and able to answer questions.
